Hands Only CPR is Easy to Perform
Hands-only CPR is a simplified and effective technique for providing initial assistance to someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to perform hands-only CPR:

1. Check for Responsiveness:
   • Gently tap the person and shout, "Are you okay?" If there is no response, or the person is not breathing normally, they may be in cardiac arrest.​
2. Position Your Hands:
   1. Kneel down beside the person and place the heel of one hand on the center of the chest, right at the nipple line.
   2. Place the heel of your other hand on top of the first hand and interlock your fingers. Keep your elbows straight and position your shoulders directly over your hands.
3. Push hard and fast:
   1. Use your upper body weight to push down hard and fast on the chest. Compress the chest at least 2 inches (5 centimeters) deep at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute. Allow the chest to fully recoil between compressions​
4. ​Continue Compressions:
   1. Continue chest compressions until professional help arrives, the person shows signs of life, or you are too exhausted to continue.​
