Eugenia Ngo-Seidel, MD, MPH, FAAFP has lived in Nassau County for over 30 years working in local public health. As the former County Health Department Director, she supported community health promotion, collaboration and health education including Hands-Only CPR & Stop-the-Bleed (NACCHO Model Practice Recognition). Currently she volunteers with the Medical Reserve Corp. and has also served in past disaster responses to hurricanes, COVID-19 & disease outbreaks in Nassau County and Florida. |
Jim BollenbacherRead Bio
Jim Bollenbacher is a Paramedic with a passion for all things related to the heart, and in particular, cardiac arrest resuscitation. He is currently leading an effort in Nassau County, FL to train residents how to perform Hands Only CPR and use an AED. He has previously taught both EMT and Paramedic classes and has presented at numerous conferences. He received a BA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his JD from the Penn State, Dickinson School of Law. His Paramedic training was done at the Northwest Community Hospital outside Chicago after which he completed the Critical Care program at Creighton University. Jim currently volunteers with the Medical Reserve Corps, Community Hospice, and the Barnabas Center. |
Ann Hess MyersRead Bio
Ann has been active in the Harrisburg, PA community as a fundraiser, both professionally and as a volunteer for over 40 years. At the Peyton Walker Foundation she leads the fundraising efforts of grant writing, annual giving, Educational Improvement Organizations and special projects. She is a retired gift officer from the Partnership for Better Health in Carlisle. She has also served as special projects coordinator for Leadership Harrisburg Area, director of development for the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg, major gift officer and capital campaign coordinator for the Pinnacle Health Foundation and director of alumni programs, director of the annual fund, capital campaign coordinator and major gift officer for Lebanon Valley and Dickinson Colleges. Her volunteer activities include Paxton Ministries 40th Anniversary Oral History project, Hospice of Central PA, United Way of the Capital Region Women’s Leadership Network, Homeland Center Board of Managers and Gala Chair, United Cerebral Palsy of the Capital Area, Magic Night Chair, Junior League of Harrisburg and Messiah Lutheran Church. In 2016 she was named Fundraising Professional of the Year by the Central PA Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Her hobbies include running, biking, sailing, and kayaking, and writing for the BURG Magazine. Ann is a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. She lives in Lewisberry, PA with her husband of 45 years and their 16 ½ year-old golden retriever. |
Arthur Bert, MDRead Bio
After graduating from Brown University, Magna Cum Laude with an under graduate concentration in biomedical sciences, Dr. Bert pursued his medical education at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He graduated with distinction as the recipient of the Basic Sciences Achievement award as well as President of the Alpha Omega Alpha, medical honor society in 1981. He then completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in anesthesiology with fellowships in both pediatric and cardiac anesthesia all within the Harvard Medical School hospital system in Boston. Dr. Bert joined the faculty at the Beth Israel Hospital’s Department of Anesthesiology in1985 and was appointed Director of Cardiac Anesthesia in 1986.His clinical practice was focused primarily in anesthesia for patients (adult and pediatric) undergoing major cardiac, vascular and/or thoracic surgeries. In March 2012, Dr. Bert accepted the position of Anesthesiologist-in-Chief of Rhode Island/ Hasbro Children’s hospital and The Miriam Hospital in Providence and served in that role until his retirement from clinical practice in January 2017. Since moving to Amelia Island area in 2017, Dr. Bert joined the Nassau County Medical Reserve Corps during the pandemic in 2020 and assisted with multiple vaccination clinics. Since then he re-acquired an active Florida medical license and volunteers his medical services primarily through activities of the Medical Reserve Corps. |
